When you order pallets from Bakersfield Pallet Co., you are getting more than wood, plastic, or composite — you are getting a guarantee. Our founder, Garrett Caldwell, built this company on the principle that every pallet we sell should meet or exceed the grade and specifications promised at the time of sale.
Our Operations Manager, Oakley Thorne, oversees a rigorous multi-point inspection process for every batch of pallets that leaves our facility. Each pallet is checked for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, board condition, nail placement, and overall appearance matching the designated grade.
If any pallet does not meet the agreed-upon specifications, we will replace it at no additional cost. No questions asked, no restocking fees. This applies to all product types — wood, plastic, composite, and accessories.
Our Sustainability Director, Wren Castellano, also ensures that our recycled and reconditioned products meet environmental standards without compromising on quality. Sustainability and quality are not trade-offs at Bakersfield Pallet Co. — they go hand in hand.

Pallet Solutions by Industry
Different industries have different requirements for material handling. Here is a quick guide to help you identify the best pallet type for your sector.
Agriculture & Produce
Recommended: Wood (Grade B/C) or Plastic
Produce requires ventilation and drainage. Wood pallets with deck board spacing work well. Plastic pallets are preferred for cold storage environments.
Food & Beverage
Recommended: Plastic or Wood (Grade A, HT)
FDA-regulated environments benefit from washable plastic pallets. Heat-treated wood pallets are required for food-adjacent applications.
Pharmaceutical
Recommended: Plastic (HDPE)
Clean room compatibility, zero particulate shedding, full sanitization between uses. Consistent dimensions for automated storage systems.
Automotive
Recommended: Wood (48x45, Block) or Composite
Heavy parts require high load-capacity block pallets. The 48x45 size is the automotive industry standard for parts bins and racks.
Retail & E-Commerce
Recommended: Wood (Grade A/B, 48x40)
The GMA 48x40 standard fits retail distribution infrastructure. Grade A for retail-facing; Grade B for warehouse and backroom use.
Chemical & Hazmat
Recommended: Plastic or Wood (48x48)
Chemical resistance is critical. Plastic pallets are impervious to spills. The 48x48 size accommodates standard drum configurations.
International Export
Recommended: Composite (Presswood) or HT Wood
ISPM-15 regulations require heat treatment for wood. Presswood and composite pallets are automatically exempt, saving time and cost.
Construction & Building
Recommended: Wood (Grade C, Heavy-Duty)
Cost-effective economy-grade pallets work well for heavy materials. Often used once and recycled, making Grade C the best value.
Electronics & Technology
Recommended: Plastic or Wood (Grade A)
Clean, splinter-free surfaces protect sensitive components. Anti-static plastic pallets are available for ESD-sensitive products.
Fast, Reliable Delivery Across Central California
We operate our own fleet of flatbed trucks out of our facility at 3240 Patton Way, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Most orders within Kern County are delivered within 1 to 2 business days. Extended delivery is available throughout the Central Valley, the Inland Empire, and greater Southern California.
For orders outside our local delivery zone, we partner with trusted freight carriers to ship pallets anywhere in the contiguous United States. Full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) options are both available.
Need pallets picked up instead? Our location is open for will-call pickups during regular business hours. Just place your order in advance and we will have it staged and ready when you arrive.
