Delivery Service
We operate our own fleet of delivery vehicles so we can control quality, timing, and reliability. No third-party carriers, no middlemen. When we say your pallets will be there Tuesday morning, they will be there Tuesday morning.
Our delivery area covers Bakersfield and the greater Kern County region, with extended service to Fresno, Visalia, and other Central Valley cities. From our facility at 3240 Patton Way, Bakersfield, CA 93308, our trucks reach every corner of the valley.
We also offer pallet pickup service for customers selling pallets to us or bringing in pallets for recycling. Same vehicles, same reliability, reverse direction. Our logistics operation, managed by Oakley Thorne, coordinates all inbound and outbound movements to maximize efficiency and minimize empty miles.
Every delivery is confirmed with a delivery receipt showing exact quantities, pallet types, and grades delivered. For customers who need it, we provide timestamped delivery documentation for their receiving records. Our dispatch team is available throughout the business day to provide real-time updates on delivery status.
Same-Day Delivery
Standard size pallets in stock can be delivered the same day for Bakersfield-area orders placed before noon. Our trucks run continuous routes throughout the day, so even late-morning orders can often be fulfilled by end of business.
Scheduled Delivery
Set up recurring deliveries on a schedule that works for your operation — daily, weekly, or as-needed. Scheduled customers receive priority routing and guaranteed delivery windows. This is our most popular delivery option for businesses with predictable pallet needs.
Bulk Delivery
Full truckload deliveries for large orders. Our flatbed and enclosed trucks can handle any volume. For orders exceeding a single truckload, we coordinate multi-truck deliveries to minimize disruption to your receiving operation.
Pickup Service
We will come to your location to pick up pallets you are selling or recycling. No minimum quantity for yard drop-offs. For on-site pickup, we ask for a minimum of 50 pallets to justify the truck dispatch.

Fleet & Equipment
Our delivery fleet is purpose-built for pallet transportation. Each vehicle type is suited to different order sizes, delivery conditions, and customer requirements. All vehicles are company-owned and maintained to ensure reliability.
Flatbed Trucks
Our primary delivery vehicle for large orders. Open-deck design allows easy forklift loading and unloading from either side. Ideal for standard pallet deliveries to facilities with dock access or open yard space.
Features:
- Side and rear loading capability
- Strapping and securing equipment
- Easy forklift access from any angle
- Best for high-volume deliveries
Stake-Bed Trucks
Medium-capacity trucks with removable stake sides that contain the load while still allowing forklift access. Good for mixed deliveries and pickups where load security is important during transit.
Features:
- Removable sides for flexible loading
- Rear gate for hand loading
- Good for urban deliveries
- Mixed load capable (delivery + pickup)
Box Trucks
Enclosed trucks that protect pallets from weather during transit. Used for deliveries where pallets need to arrive clean and dry, such as food-grade or pharmaceutical customers.
Features:
- Weather protection for cargo
- Liftgate for sites without docks
- Secure enclosed cargo area
- Best for clean/dry delivery requirements
Fleet Maintenance & Reliability
All vehicles in our fleet are maintained on a strict preventive maintenance schedule. This includes regular oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and safety checks. We perform pre-trip inspections on every vehicle before it leaves the yard each morning, ensuring that mechanical issues are caught before they cause delivery delays.
Our maintenance-first approach means we have an extremely low rate of delivery disruptions due to vehicle breakdowns. In the rare event that a truck goes down mid-route, we have backup vehicles available at our facility to ensure your delivery stays on schedule. Oakley Thorne personally reviews fleet readiness each week to maintain our reliability standards.
Delivery Coverage Area in Detail
Our delivery radius extends approximately 200 miles from our facility in Bakersfield, covering the entire Central Valley and beyond. Here is a detailed breakdown of our three service zones and what each includes.
Primary Zone: Kern County
Same-day delivery availableOur primary service zone covers all of Kern County. This is our home territory, and we run delivery and pickup routes throughout this area every business day. Orders placed before noon are typically delivered the same afternoon. We know every industrial park, distribution center, and agricultural operation in the county.
Cities and communities served:
Extended Zone: Southern Central Valley
Next-day deliveryOur extended service zone covers communities within roughly 75-100 miles of Bakersfield. These areas receive next-business-day delivery for orders placed before 3:00 PM the prior day. This zone includes important agricultural and industrial areas in Tulare County, Kings County, and parts of San Luis Obispo County.
Cities and communities served:
Regional Zone: Greater California
Scheduled weekly routesOur regional zone covers major cities and industrial areas within approximately 150-200 miles of Bakersfield. We serve these areas on scheduled weekly routes, with specific delivery days assigned to each corridor. Volume minimums may apply for regional deliveries to ensure efficient routing.

Scheduling Options
We offer flexible scheduling to match the rhythm of your operation. Whether you need deliveries on a fixed schedule or prefer to order on-demand, we accommodate your preferences.
Fixed Weekly Schedule
Choose a specific day and approximate time window for your weekly delivery. Our driver arrives at the same time each week. Best for operations with predictable, steady pallet consumption. Changes can be made with 48 hours notice.
Bi-Weekly or Monthly Schedule
For operations with lower or variable consumption rates. We deliver on a set cadence that matches your usage pattern. Volumes can be adjusted order-to-order without changing the schedule.
On-Demand Ordering
Place orders as needed with no standing commitment. Same-day delivery for Bakersfield-area orders placed before noon. Next-day for extended zone. Scheduled route for regional.
Standing Inventory Program
We maintain a pre-agreed stock level of your preferred pallet type at our facility, ready for delivery on demand. When you order, your pallets are already staged — no wait for pulling, inspecting, or preparing. This eliminates lead time entirely.
Emergency / After-Hours Delivery
While our standard operations run during business hours, we can arrange emergency deliveries outside normal hours for critical situations. Contact us to discuss availability and pricing for urgent after-hours requests.
Loading, Unloading & Tracking
Our delivery service is more than just transportation. We handle the complete logistics chain from our yard to your dock, including loading, transit, unloading, and documentation.
Loading at Our Facility
All orders are staged in our loading area prior to the scheduled delivery. Our yard crew loads trucks using forklifts, verifying count and grade against the order ticket. A pre-departure checklist confirms that the correct pallets are on the correct truck headed to the correct destination.
Unloading at Your Site
Our drivers are equipped to unload using your dock facilities. For sites without dock access, our box trucks feature hydraulic liftgates. We can also arrange deliveries with a piggyback forklift for sites that have no unloading equipment at all.
Delivery Documentation
Every delivery includes a signed delivery receipt showing date, time, pallet types, grades, and quantities. Copies are provided to you and retained in our records. For customers who need digital records, we can provide delivery confirmations via email.
Dispatch Tracking
Our dispatch team tracks every truck throughout its route. If you need a delivery status update, contact us and we can provide an estimated arrival time. For scheduled customers, we proactively notify you of any delays or changes before they affect your operation.
Combined Delivery & Pickup
Our trucks frequently perform combined runs — delivering fresh pallets to your dock and picking up surplus pallets on the same trip. This maximizes efficiency, reduces cost, and means fewer truck visits to your property.
Delivery Pricing
Our delivery pricing is straightforward and transparent. Several factors influence the delivery cost, but we always provide the total price upfront so there are no surprises.
Distance
Delivery cost is primarily based on the distance from our facility to your location. Primary zone (Kern County) deliveries are the most affordable. Extended and regional zone deliveries carry additional mileage charges.
Order Size
Larger orders cost less per pallet to deliver because the delivery cost is spread across more units. Full truckload deliveries are the most cost-efficient on a per-pallet basis.
Frequency
Customers on recurring delivery schedules receive reduced delivery rates compared to one-time orders. Our routing efficiency improves when we can plan for your stop in advance.
Vehicle Type
Standard flatbed delivery is the most economical. Box truck delivery (for weather-protected or clean-delivery requirements) may carry a small premium. Liftgate service is available at additional cost.
Combined Runs
If we are picking up pallets from your location on the same trip, delivery costs may be reduced or waived because the truck is making the trip regardless.
Free Delivery Thresholds
Orders of 100+ pallets receive free delivery within Bakersfield city limits. 250+ pallets: free within Kern County. 500+ pallets: free within our full service area.
